· Hector Arana started off the season right with a win at the NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fl.. Hector qualified #2 with a 6.957 ET @ 191.40 MPH. Hector ran consistent numers all weekend long while advancing to the final where he met up with Matt Smith to take the win light, Great Job Hector!

· Angie McBride also showed a very strong start to the 09 season qualifying in the # 4 spot with a 6.963 ET @ 189.50 MPH.

· Matt Smith on board the all new DSR Suzuki qualified in the #1 spot with a very strong 6.945 ET @ 189.44 MPH and went all the way to the final to face Hector Arana for the runner-up spot.

· Doug Horne made his NHRA debut with a #13 qualifying spot with a 7.147 ET @ 184.27 MPH.
